The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library celebrates the creativity of our Young Adult patrons every season in our Teen Writing Contests! Writers are tasked with creating an original short story following a particular theme. Winners of the contest earn publication in the Heggan Happenings Teen Edition Newsletter and a $50 Barnes and Nobles gift card! | ||||||||||||||||

Currently, the Writing Club is working on a challenge with a topic/title of FLOWERS. Flowers must play an important role in this original story. This narrative is limited to 750 words and must be submitted electronically to the teen librarian at bpilling@hegganlibrary.org by 9:00 pm on May 31, 2022. | |||||||||||||||||

The Writing Club will again tackle the library’s summer reading theme with a narrative challenge on Oceans of Possibility. Check the Info-Board in the Teen Area for details on upcoming writing contest events and other teen and tween programs. | |||||||||||||||||
