A digital eLibrary card may be issued to a Washington Township resident who is able to submit an acceptable form of identification along with a digital eLibrary card application online. Parents/guardians are responsible for completing applications on behalf of minors under the age of 18 and the identification submitted should belong to the same parent/guardian completing the application. Digital eLibrary cards can be renewed on a two-year basis by submitting an acceptable form of identification along with a digital eLibrary card application online. Patrons are provided this time to visit the library to pick up their full access library card for the full two-year expiration date provided to residents. The full access library card will also provide access to physical library materials, special collections, program registration, and study rooms. When picking up a full access library card, a current form of government-issued form of photo identification, (such as a driver’s license), may be used to verify identity. If the patron’s current Washington Township address is not listed on the government-issued photo identification, then one additional form of acceptable identification with the current address will be required. Parents/guardians are responsible for juvenile cards. When picking up a juvenile card, the same parent/guardian who completed the application will need to be present with their identification along with the juvenile receiving their library card. Digital eLibrary cards are limited to eMaterials only. Digital eLibrary cards will not be accepted for program registration, physical material checkouts, or small study room reservations.
Please allow three to five business days for all applications to be processed. When your digital eLibrary card is ready, you will receive an email with your account information.
Please note: If you already have a library card with the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library, you do not need to apply for a digital eLibrary card. Your full access library card already provides access to the eMaterials collection. If you have any questions please contact the circulation department the library at (856) 589-3334 extension 200 or visit the library during our open hours. Library hours are Monday through Thursday 10:00am – 9:00pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.
